We are pleased to be co-hosting the 2014 UAS Summit with U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp, Congressman Kevin Cramer, the Northern Plains Unmanned Systems Test Site, and the ND Dept. of Commerce.
The Grand Forks and the Northern Plains region are truly a one of a kind destination for unmanned systems activity. Higher education institutions like UND, Lake Region State College, and Northland College are at the forefront of innovative programs offering training programs and research activities that span pilot training, aircraft maintenance, data analysis, precision agriculture research and development, simulator maintenance, image and data analysis and more. The Grand Forks Air Force Base is immersed in UAS activity as the staging point for Air Force Global Hawk missions and CBP Predator operations. Developing agreements with Grand Forks County will make GFAFB an innovator in public private partnerships through the Enhanced Use Lease program that will be home to the Grand Sky UAS Business Park.
This year's summit "Integration and Commercialization on the Northern Plains" will continue to build upon the foundation of previous year's events by exploring important issues facing the continued development of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems industry, growth of supporting industries, and numerous applications that are poised to change lives across the globe. Topics and applications include airspace integration strategies, the role of Unmanned Systems in shaping face of precision agriculture, privacy and legal concerns, platform development, sense and avoid, technology development.
We hope you will consider joining us as an attendee, sponsor, or exhibitor at this high impact event.
